ALL HAIL THE 2014 PGA CHALLENGE CHAMPION
Tommy O' Sullivan served BLT sandwiches and french fries today during his champions luncheon at Twin Peaks. Several area PGA Challenge participants participated in the lunch. A big thanks from the commissioner for a new tradition was born - free lunch on the winner!

Final Results...
The rookie, pulls out a dramatic come from behind victory! Mr. Tommy O'Sullivan picked Horschel, Furyk and McIlroy, a 1-2-2 finish, a trifecta if you will for the win. This is why we pick 3 in the TOUR Championship folks, drama that not even the TOUR itself delivers. Jen King finished 2nd and Mark Wilson finished 3rd. The final results and money is listed below.
The Champions luncheon date will be announced soon. Hopefully many in Greenville can make it...

Playoff #3 Update...
Mark said it pained him to have to pick Bubba and root for him but it paid off. He moves into first on Bubba's solo 2nd place finish. This thing is still anybody's game as you can pick ANY 3 players you want. With no Tiger and no Phil and really no dominant veteran in the field I'm really interested to see where you guys go with your picks. Good luck!

WGC / Barracuda Update
Lots of news over the weekend. My top 3...
1.) Rory moves back to #1 in the world with second straight win. He may hold it for 10+ years now.
2.) DJ suspended or not suspended. Maybe a voluntary leave for substance abuse and possible indiscretions with other tour wives. The guy is a rock head.
3.) Tiger injured again. If he plays this week watch for the PGA TOUR to invoke a mid-tourney WD rule next year. I feel strongly the tour needs a miss next two tourneys if you WD mid-tourney rule. He probably really is injured, think he'd have toughed it out for a pay day with 9 holes left if humanly possible.
Our pool...
Travis and Steve picked Rory and made significant jumps in the standings. Shocked that nobody picked Ogilvy when I went back to the Barracuda picks. Below is a breakdown of your chances...
- Everyone above 35th place (Tom Roberts) is still statically alive with a win at the PGA Championship.
- Chris Hood is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs and nearly a lock to finish in the top 3. Only Russ, Tom and Jennifer have a shot to catch him at #1 and that is with a win and bad pick from Chris.
- A win from anyone inside the top 18 (Steve Smith) would give them a chance to finish top 3.

RBC Canadian Open
A decent week of picks for many but another GREAT week for Chris Hood. He had a solo pick of Tim Clark and builds his lead surpassing the $10M mark on the season. In the past two weeks he's netted nearly $4.5M. That's more than 20 players in the pool have made all year -- including this guy!
Picking one guy every week out of 144 is frustrating and difficult. What I can do is usually tell you 3-5 guys not to pick. This week those guys were players who feel they are "major-worthy" and beyond tourneys like this. Luke and DJ fit this bill and both MC'd. Let me know if you ever need any help determining who NOT to pick. If you want to give me any advice on who to pick that would be great.
