Wells Fargo Update...

Has a tourney every fallen so far so fast? Horrible greens, players WD'ing, terrible weather and a bad date now prior to the Players. I would sell stock if I owned it in this event. Hopefully it's a one year fluke but I'd be very anxious if I were running that event. This used to be a top 3 tourney outside of WGC and majors.

How about Derek Ernst. Not only was this just his 9th PGA TOUR start, he was ranked 1,200+ in the world! Let me repeat, 1,200+ in the world. I'm pretty sure there are high school golfers ranked higher. The picks were fairly solid again this week, I'm sure several were disappointed that Phil couldn't close the deal. When you hit 50% of the greens and 30% of the fairways most guys are MC'ing. Phil was leading with 2 holes left.

  1. At one point I saw Phil was 39/39 on putts inside 10 feet! On greens like that? That's stupid good! There's definitely been a lot of buzz and players switching to those super-stroke grips.
