Zurich

Winning! That's the theme this weekend. Eleven people picked Jason Dufner who broke through at the Zurich. Included among those 11 were Tom Roberts and Allen Freedman, who also teamed up in the GCC member-member and won the shootout. They were spurred on by a tight final match in which they lost 5-4 but held on to win the flight by 1/2 point. Congratulations boys, thanks for helping move Jim and I up for a sleeve of balls!

RBC Heritage

Two blimps went head to head in the final round at the RBC. How can a guy be as fat as Colt Knost when he walks 6 miles five days a week? Seriously, what does a guy like that eat? I guess with $387K this weekend, the answer is whatever he wants. Another rather rotund man - Carl Pettersson - won it.

Three still grinding away in the cuts made streak - Sue, Gray and myself. Luckily we all stayed away from BVP who was hot coming in after the Masters. Several did pick him though and he MC'd. Best pick of the week extended Nick's lead at the top - Zach Johnson finishing solo second.

Masters Update...

Golf is a funny sport. Twenty-two of us picked the favorite and he showed one more time there are no sure things in this sport. The world number one and two and another guy with three green jackets proved the same on Sunday.

The guy who came through? The lefty who gagged in all four majors last year after sniffing the lead. The guy who I've been riding for three years now because I knew he was talented enough to win. Yes, Bubba Watson, the guy who I picked SOLO here LAST YEAR. Good for you Bubba, the reason you choked in the past is because you cared so much, it meant more to you than to others. Now Bubba's over the hump and the guy who doesn't see straight lines on the golf course may win a few more majors quickly.

There were five who picked Phil but as far as this pool is concerned this was a dude of a major. Nobody went over $1M in earnings for the week so we all keep grinding...

Shell Houston Open...

Brian Marchant and Jeff Wilson both picked Hunter and are firmly into the top 10. Some other solid picks as well. This is MASTERS WEEK, it signifies the true start to the pool. A win in Augusta is worth   $2.88M to whoever picks the right player. Only the top 5 players in the pool have that much right now so this is anybody's ball game starting now. Don't be late with your pick!
