Valspar Paint Dry Open

Anytime a guy from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan wins a PGA TOUR event I'm on board. Solid W for Adam Hadwin, this guy can really play. Matt Mead may be his biggest fan in the states as he picked Hadwin solo and jumped from 48th to 19th in the standings. He also snags $50 from the winner's pot.

In other pool news, Matt Kuchar made the cut and Justin Thomas missed. That means Drew Johns outlasted Brian Speranzini in the cuts made streak. It took just 8 correct picks to earn $400 for streakin' the longest. Brian wins $225 as we added 2nd place with a larger purse.

Other top picks this week included Stenson and Bryan, we did have some movement in the standings as several won $200K+ coupled with more than a dozen MC's.

WGC Mexico Update

Lots of pesos won this past weekend in Mexico City. Glad the players were able to climb over the wall and make their way down for the cash grab. DJ cemented himself as #1 in the world with his W and a few new names to keep on your radar emerged -- Tommy Fleetwood Mac anyone? Lots of you went with his fellow Brit Tyrell Hatton and played well too but not as solid as Fleetwood, maybe now he can get his mane trimmed.

Six of you were burned by Henrik Stenson's WD. He started so you lose him for the year. This is the rule with exception of the Mahan rule which reads: The Mahan rule - any player who leaves the tournament to attend birth of child can be used again on another tourney.

Lastly, I want to point out that I now sit inside the playoff cut line for the perhaps the first time in 3+ years. Sure to go poorly from here but wanted to give myself that small attaboy!

Honda Update

Can't say I watched a lick of golf this weekend, but happy to see Rickie secure his fourth career PGA win.

A brutal week for the pool outside of Chad, Jamie and BR who selected Rickie. The Berger, Knox and JT MC's did some damage, including eliminating three more competitors from the cuts made streak. We're now down to the final two - Brian S. and Drew.
