Shell Houston Update

Greetings everyone. A big thank you to Kyle who took over the pool for me the past few weeks. Happy to be back for Masters week. Did want to let you golfers know that you need to put Kukui' Ula on your course bucket list. It's a Tom Weiskopf design on Kauai. Beautiful course design but maybe move impressively it had to have the best conditioning of any course I've seen this side of Augusta National. Kapalua was also very cool but played extremely tough in 30+ sustained winds. Ok, enough about that.

Feast or famine at the Shell Houston Open. Mostly famine with the favorite Brooks Koepka missing the cut -- even Hunter missed for the first time in 14 events. The standings are below. Note a solo win this week would move almost everyone into the playoffs and seven of you into first.

API Update

Stenson played well, but it was Jason Day who went wire-to-wire. He's heating up at the right time. Thought Merritt would make things interesting until he splashed on 18.

Two weeks away from the Masters, but first another WGC event and the Puerto Rico Open. For those of you who are new, you'll select two golfers for match play and one for the PR Open (three golfers total). Do yourself a favor and select guys on opposite sides of the bracket in Austin.

Doral Update

Adam Scott en fuego. The Aussie goes back-to-back and nets a big pay day at the Blue Monster. How about that shot on 18? Can't believe the rough held it up. Dude has gumption. It was a fun tournament to watch yesterday with the likes of Bubba, Phil, Willet all making a run. But it was also painful for those that picked Rory and DJ (myself included).

Dunigan and Hughey selected Scott and make an extra $10. Although those that picked Bubba would have preferred a win, his second place paid out more than a few first place finishes on other tour stops. As a result, Blair, Freeman and Henry all move into the top 10.

The cuts made streak resumes this week with five players.

Russ Tigue - $5,185,764
Matt Saler - $4,959,404

Northern Trust Update

Brian's favorite golfer bags his ninth career win and third in 16 months. Two birdies on the final three holes sealed the deal as he held off both Jason Kokrak and Adam Scott in a fun final round. Would have liked to seen DJ and Rory put up more of a fight, but I'm sure we'll see some fireworks on the Florida swing.

Feast or famine this week for picks. Some big payouts and a few big guns who didn't show up. The cuts made streak is now down to seven players.
