Northern Trust Open

An interesting week. Three people picked three different players who were among the five who tied for second but still no winners. Tiger and Phil were non-factors.

A ruling confirmed by the assistant commissioners on Phil's withdrawl as it relates to the cuts made streak. Phil made the cut then WD'd. Mark and Jack's sanity must be checked for using him but that was still a cut made so Mark stays in the race. Lots of carnage with favorites Walker and Snedecker missing the cut. We're down to just twenty left in the streak.

Hyundai TOC Update

And we're off! Nobody picked Zach Johnson. Pretty surprising because I don't really deem him "major worthy" at this point in his career. Maybe we just all over looked him. The top pick was made by 2007 PGA Challenge champ Mark Eber. He selected Jordan Spieth who is quickly becoming major worthy himself -- the kid is making bank.

One quick scoring decision early. Stefen didn't realize Stricker was not leaving the snow in Wisconsin behind for Hawaii. He wasn't in the field therefore he didn't play. As with the other three guys who NP'd he'll receive the last place pay and can re-use Stricker. You can always use a player again if he doesn't play at all. If he starts then WD's for any reason other than his wife giving birth, you can't use him again.

Take us to the leaders...
