U.S. Open Update

There is only one guy more bummed than Jim Furyk that didn't hold on. Nope, not the Five Hour Energy marketing guy; Stefen Lovelace, he had Furyk solo. Instead Furyk went +2 down the stretch and tied with Dufner who was chosen by Brian M, Chip, Matt and Mark Wilson. Each earns $25 and moves up in the standings. Amazingly nobody moved in or out of the top 10, almost unheard of for a major. Most made money but not a lot. Nine straight first time winners in a major, here comes all the "how good will Webb be" stories. Judging by the previous eight major winners, he probably won't win another soon!

It's on to the Travelers Championship where bogeys and doubles at the U.S. Open turn into eagles and birdies at TPC River Highlands. Good luck to my boys, make sure to call some guys by the wrong name at the 15 1/2. That keeps them humble! Best all time was when I thought Billy Andrade was Matt Bettencourt. He was kind of dumbfounded, I guess that's what happens when you haven't won in 15 years on TOUR.

St. Jude FEDEX Update...

31 people made $0 this weekend. A few who did well picked Ryan Palmer who had a top 10 finish. Those that picked Zach and Graeme made $0. Why is my clairvoience so simple when it's picking those who WON'T do well, but I can't figure out who will?

It's US Open week, if you're in the top 39 and pick the winner you could be in the top 10. Grind it out, make a solid pick...

The Memorial

Feast or famine. Fitting for a Tiger I suppose. He eats big when he eats. Could he be back...for good? I guess we'll know in about two weeks. In the meantime, I failed to report that Mr. Justin Marksamer did have Tiger solo. He used my old e-mail but the pick was in before the first tee time on Thursday so hold the conspiracy theories. He won $10 and moved into 24th place, if it was me, you could question the integrity.

Other random thoughts... Rickie shot 84! 84! Maybe it's time to retire the orange on Sundays? These picks are ridics. Seriously, every week it seems there are 20 people picking guys who earn over $200K, it's not supposed to be this easy people!

Player Championship

I didn't see a single shot (laying on beach in Grand Cayman) and thankfully wasn't following along when Hunter Mahan knocked me out of the cuts made streak. Congratulations to Gray Kitchens who won it after Stricker missed the cut knocking Sue out. It was feast or famine for most picks. Updated standings are below.

Wells Fargo Update...

Pretty Rickie gets it done in Charlotte. Hopefully he can get a razor deal so he can mow that 4 month old weak growth he's trying to pass as a stache. Don Adams is now a big Rickie fan if he wasn't already, he had him solo. That's two first-time winners in a row and Don picked them both to move into third place in the pool. We're nearing the halfway point in the pool but with three majors left, there is still plenty of golf left.

Gray, Sue and I are now 19 for 19 in making cuts this year. I can't even jinx it by writing that!
